(original subject line: Re: Re: Braid casings research request)
“I had seen copies available at www.abebooks.com but it was a reprint.”
And what’s wrong with reprints? 🙂
I just want to know what to look out for.

There was a company that was selling reprints on demand of out of print books. This list’s bibilography
says “Authorized photocopy available for about $36 from http://www.AstroLogos.org/ “.
Their standard disclaimer is “Charts photographs & graphics may reproduce less than perfectly & may be
reduced to fit pages” That wasn’t what I wanted. YMMV.

FWIW, the few graphics and images in this dissertation were not very high quality to begin with. Books, I think, are always cooler than photocopies, but in this particular case, it is the writing inside that really makes this work worth having. Good luck in the hunting – I love a good book chase myself!

Ah! I understand,
Slaine. When you’re buying a book for the pics, then a photocopy just doesn’t do it. I
was thinking more along the lines of facsimiles
where all the pics/charts/illustrations remain intact. 🙂
Thanks!
