Hello, I just came across your group. I recently joined the SCA and am trying to re-create a 12th Century Swiss soldier. I found out that my relatives lived in Uri Canton in the 1200’s and now I would like to try and make up Garb that would be authentic to that time and place.
Do any of you have any information that might be useful such as:
type of clothes they wore; type of weapons they used; type of shoes they wore; and any other information that I can use to create clothes and equipment. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
